As part of the EUG 2024, the WG Karlsruhe beach handball team will be traveling to Debrecen in Hungary in July. Over three tournament days, both the men's and women's teams will compete against 7 other teams, including some top-class players.

The women's team is almost the same as in 2023, when they finished 4th at the EUC. The favorites are undoubtedly the universities from Malaga, Zagreb and Budapest, which have already shared the top three places in recent years. Behind them, there is a relatively even field of participants, which means that repeating 4th place would already be a great success.

The situation for the men is very different. They also achieved 4th place in 2023, but are starting this year with a completely new defense. In addition, some strong opponents await the Karlsruhe team: With Malaga, Zagreb and Cologne, all the finalists from the last two years will be there. In addition, there is the Hungarian Sports University, where some of Hungary's national players study. Nevertheless, they will do everything in their power to achieve the best possible result and spring a surprise or two.

Off the pitch, the teams are also looking forward to exchanging ideas with other universities, networking, deepening friendships from previous years and supporting other teams in their competitions.
