On December 2, Kaize Zhou and Jessica Wolf competed for the KIT at the Taekwondo DHM in Jena.

Jessica Wolf became the new German university champion 2023 in the women's -57kg category, winning the semi-finals and final against her opponents with 2:0 rounds each.

Kaize Zhou fought his way to third place in the men's -58kg category. He was narrowly defeated in the semi-final by the eventual German university champion by 1:2 rounds. Despite the defeat, he was able to gain new experience for upcoming tournaments.

Looking back on the tournament, they both put in a great performance, which enabled them to qualify for the European University Games 2024 in Hungary. Thanks also go to the tournament organizers, who made a successful day of competition in Jena possible.
