The 5th adh high school run once again improved its own kilometer record. With 1434.73 km and 155 participants (previous year: 850.38 km | 93 participants), the record from 2023 was clearly pulverized and thus the 2nd place in the ranking 'Universities by kilometers' was confirmed. A KIT record was also set in terms of elevation gain with 13,214 m.

Thanks to the support of numerous KIT running enthusiasts, including the HSP groups (see cover photo) Lauftreff, Leichtathletik Wettkampf and Functional Training, KIT SC and the KIT Campus Alpin, it was possible to achieve this great result. The KIT University Sports office team also covered a few kilometers.

Once again, the Hessian University of Applied Sciences for Public Management and Security was unassailably ahead with 5,265.71 km and 630 finishers. TU Dortmund University completed the podium with 725.66 km and 75 participants.

Among the universities in Karlsruhe, runners from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences were also in running fever, finishing in 30th place in the 'Universities by kilometer' ranking with 36.34 km.

A total of 1,586 sports enthusiasts took part in the adh-Hochschullauf 2024, running an incredible 13,563.65 km and 84,127 meters in altitude to celebrate the International Day of University Sport (IDUS).
