KIT University Sports and the SEEBURGER College Wizards will jointly host the final round of the German University Championships 2024 at KIT on July 6 and 7, 2024. TU Berlin, WG Cologne, WG Göttingen, WG Tübingen and WG Munich will be taking part.

Zoran Seatovic, competition manager of the basketball department at KIT University Sports: "I am very pleased that we are able to host the German University Championships at KIT again this year. We have very good and experienced basketball players in the team and hope for great support from the spectators when the best universities in Germany play against each other here in Karlsruhe for two days."

This is the second time since 2022 that the finals of the German Basketball University Championship will be held in Karlsruhe. In the last five years, the WG Karlsruhe delegation has already won the German University Championships twice.

"Last year we lost in the semi-finals to the eventual winners from Dresden and this year we definitely want to win the title at home. We want to use our advantage with a home game to go to the European Championships again next year!" (Zoran Seatovic, competition manager of the basketball department at KIT University Sports).

How do the German University Championships work?

The game is played in a 6-team format in two groups of 3, in which everyone plays against everyone else. The preliminary round will take place on Saturday, July 6, starting at 11:00 a.m. at the KIT Sports Institute. On Sunday, 07.07. the semi-finals will start at 11.00 am. Tip-off for the final is at 1.45 pm.
