The annual German University Ultimate Frisbee Championships took place on the weekend of June 8 and 9. This year, however, Karlsruhe was not only a participant, but also the organizer of the tournament, which is why university teams from all over Germany came to us in the fan-shaped city. This organizational effort was managed by numerous volunteers, whom we would like to thank once again for preparing dormitories, serving food, cake buffets and much more.

The matches were played on the two pleasantly sunny days on the official sports facilities of the KIT and the grass pitch of the MTV Karlsruhe. Seven players per team faced each other on the pitch in a real mixed format.

The "Unibärchen Karlsruhe" won three of their six matches, and apart from a draw against Mainz, they were only beaten by the teams from Tübingen and Munich. As a result, the hosts achieved a stable 6th place, with which all players (and coaches) were very satisfied.

The tournament winners were the "Maultaschen" from Tübingen, who won all their matches very convincingly. The team from Freiburg was also named the winner of the spirit competition, in which the teams rate each other after each game, for their particularly fair and considerate play. The award ceremony concluded an exhausting, but above all exciting and fun weekend.
