Laboratory: surveyLAB
surveyLAB was established at Universität Konstanz in 2011. It is available for surveys in teaching and research projects at Universität Konstanz, as well as externally.
It is a service facility of CMS (Center for Quantitative Methods and Survey Research), a research platform in which empirical scientists from various disciplines of Universität Konstanz are involved. surveyLAB conducts telephone/online surveys (also known as mixed methods) both independently and in tandem with primary researchers.
In addition, surveyLAB can be used for teaching research projects and courses in methodological education. Students engaged in surveyLAB projects can gain valuable practical experience in project management and survey research.
Previous users came from the department of History and Sociology with Sports Science and Empirical Social Research as well as from the department of Political and Administrative Sciences.
Furthermore, surveyLAB offers students the opportunity to use the laboratory as part of their dissertation.
surveyLAB offers a total of six interview workstations. All workstations are equipped with survey software for online and telephone surveys that supports questionnaire programming, implements sampling and assists in conducting interviews. Sampling also allows for more complex designs (e.g. stratification according to traits of respondents).
surveyLAB implements the field control for all survey projects.
