On the weekend of July 15/16, the 3x3 Basketball DHM took place in Tübingen. The KIT team, consisting of Marcel Davis, Nils Maisel, Paul Schlegel and Vincent Hennen, went into the tournament without great expectations, as it was only clear shortly beforehand that they would be competing.

With great weather and a very well-organized event at the sports institute in Tübingen, they were able to get through the group stage on Saturday undefeated and advance to the semi-finals the next day.

On Sunday, the team from Karlsruhe then faced the hosts in the semi-finals. Due to injuries and the lack of substitutions, the pressure was very high on the first day of the tournament and unfortunately the team did not have enough strength to defeat the strong Tübingen team. They then faced Göttingen in the match for 3rd place. In a hard-fought game, they were able to secure third place and thus bring the weekend to a successful close.
