The German University Championships 2023 Golf took place again this year from 13 to 17 July in the Berlin area. This time, the golf course was hosted by the Berlin Golf Club Stolper Heide. For the KIT, the golfers competed with 6 players in the individual and team competitions: Peter, Trutz & Jasper (Team KIT 1) and Eckart, Christian & Liam (Team KIT 2).

After arriving together on Thursday, the golf team from Karlsruhe had the opportunity to get to know the course in a practice round on Friday. This was followed by the official welcome and accreditation in the clubhouse.

The actual tournament took place on Saturday and Sunday. Two rounds of 18 holes each were played on the course's west course. Despite the enormous heat on Saturday, the hottest day of the year, a few good results were achieved.

Overall, the Karlsruhe team was satisfied with their performance, had a lot of fun and were able to take a lot away from the weekend.

Individual ranking: In the individual ranking, Jasper achieved a shared 21st place (81 & 82 strokes) together with Peter (80 & 83). Trutz came 32nd (84 & 89), Eckart 39th (94 & 93) and Liam 43rd (99 & 101). Christian was unfortunately unable to take part in the second round due to an injured shoulder.

Team ranking: In the team ranking, Team 1 (Jasper, Trutz, Peter) achieved 7th place with 499 strokes.
