Summer, sun, quarry pond: the diving department's beginner training has been in full swing since April. After practising the theory and basic skills in the swimming pool during the winter semester, we are currently busy exploring the surrounding quarry ponds in preparation for our exam in July. In addition to practising how to move weightlessly under water, we are also practising skills for solving minor problems and rescuing a diver who has had an accident on land. And best of all: thanks to our new wetsuits and the increasingly warmer temperatures, none of the participants have had to freeze so far and we have been able to stay underwater long enough to see the odd carp, pike and perch.

For all those who also want to get a diving license: The next course starts in the winter semester, for this there will be our mandatory information event again on 17.10.2024 at 19:15 in the lecture hall of the IfSS. All those who already have a diving license and want to get to know the beauty of the regional quarry ponds are cordially invited to our regulars' table: Tuesdays at 21:00 in the DJK Ost.
