DHM Volleyball Intermediate Round

The DHM Volleyball Intermediate Round took place in Karlsruhe in May. The team from Karlsruhe was challenged twice as host and participant.

The KIT adh volleyball team had qualified for the intermediate round of the German University Championships and was challenged twice as host and participant last Wednesday. Even though the team had to fight for some close sets against strong opponents, the result is clear: With three 2:0 victories, the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology clearly prevailed against the universities from Frankfurt, Cologne and Regensburg. All teams were peppered with experienced volleyball players; Frankfurt, for example, had the Wolf brothers with their first league experience. Although they were able to provide some excitement in the match against Karlsruhe, the individual top players had little chance against the well-coordinated team from Karlsruhe, which had plenty of second and regional league experience. Unbeaten so far, the KIT has now qualified for the final round of the DHM on 30.06/01.07.
