The PSK GEQUOS become the KIT SC GEQUOS

Under the umbrella of KIT SC, the GEQUOS will start the upcoming basketball regional league season. " At KIT SC, we find great general conditions that open up a great opportunity for us," says Zoran Seatovic, the managing director of ProBa Sports GmbH, which holds the license. Nevertheless, the close cooperation with Post Südstadt Karlsruhe (PSK), especially in the youth sector, will continue in the coming season.

In addition to the name change, the move brings some other changes for the regional league team. The new sports and training hall for GEQUOS will be the sports hall 1 of the Institute for Sports and Sports Science on the KIT premises.

KIT SC is also looking forward to the new area of responsibility. "With this cooperation, competitive sports are entering our club. We are very positive about this development and are looking forward to an exciting season in the KIT environment," say the two board members Dr. Sascha Härtel and Dr. Dietmar Blicker.

"For us, this cooperation opens up new perspectives with which we want to take the step into Pro B in the foreseeable future," says Seatovic. Currently, preparations for the new season in the 1st Regionalliga Südwest are in full swing, especially with regard to the composition of the squad.

"We are definitely trying to keep the core of the successful team together; we are hopeful for that," says old and new coach Uli Himstedt about the current status.
